September Notes

*Bob & Sue Dance = the spurs do a field performance with either their dad, mom or other adult relative. The dance partner should come to the practices for "bob & sue" to learn the material. If there is a major scheduling conflict it is the Silver Spurs responsibility to make sure "bob or sue" is completely prepared.
*Packet Pick up = that is referring to the Ranger Rush 5k packets for participants, eventually I will ask for volunteers to help out
*Bulverde Jubilee = we will march in the parade, possibly do a performance afterwards and will have a "car bashing" booth, it will be a fundraiser for the Spurs b/c we will accept "donations" to bash the donated car
*Parade on the 23rd = That is the Comal County Fair Parade. We will meet @ SV early Friday morning, ride a bus to the parade, march in it, come back to SV, do your own thing all day, then return @ 5:30pm for the football game
* Hope this helps clarify some questions. It's hard to squeeze a lot of info into those little boxes :)

Champions!!

I wanted to personally say how proud I was of the Spurs this weekend on our retreat! Despite the heat we still had 25 girls stay in the cabins! We experienced some awesome accomplishments on the ropes course. It was so neat to see them not let each other give up! I think a lot of girls tried things they had never done before, I know I did too! I slept in an non-a/c cabin, got blobbed and kayaked! I truly enjoyed spending the weekend with the girls and was so proud of their positivity and encouragement towards one another!

We will not be having Thursday afternoon practices until further notice.
*We will be having Field and Band Practice on Thursday mornings. So attendance on Thursday mornings is SUPER important.

Please remember to bring your picture order form with payment. IF you have lost it at least bring a check if you

plan on ordering.

*WE NEED EXTRA HATS, BRING WHAT YOY HAVE

2:00-4:00pm we will have practice. I realize there was a very last minute change. I asked the girls to let me know on Tuesday if they had a prior commitment and would not be present. The practice is an exception to the attendance rule. However, we will be learning the second field dance at this time because I had to cancel Thursdays practice.

Blush: L'OREAL true match C7-8 Spiced Plum
You also need foundation and mascara of your choice
*returning members only need to purchase the lipstick if they have and would like to use the Mary Kay eyeshadow & blush from last year
Field Uniforms are here! I think they are going to look fresh, clean and sharp on the field!
Please do not attempt to wash any part of them until we have specific directions. 
Money, Money, Money:
Retreat is due no later than Tuesday $75 to SSBC
Poms and Sweats Due to SVHS
& Field Top and Briefs to SVHS
Retreat Schedule will be passed out next week, but be prepared for a talent show!
Picture order forms were sent home on Wednesday, ask about them

Updates for August

Team pictures: Friday August 19th @ 8:00am in Gruene
New uniforms are here! But now that means another payment for the top and briefs $48 to SVHS. The items will stay the same for the next few years.
Bar-B-Q: Saturday Aug. 13th volunteers to represent the Spurs from 9:00-11:00. We will discuss what to wear, either "born to shine" or booster club shirts, if they are here :)
Make-up details: will be discussed in practice, your make-up will be able to be purchased at HEB/Target/Walmart, etc... Yeah!

The team continues to impress me with their focus and dedication during each practice!
