The Texas State Strutters will be hosting a 2-day High School & College Summer  Dance Intensive (for individuals going into 9th grade through College), Middle School Dance Intensive (for individuals going into 7th & 8th) High School/College Curriculum This program is designed to (and will focus on): Ø  Strengthen individual dance technique Ø  Strengthen individual skills Ø  Prepare for tryouts or competition solos Classes offered: Ø  Jazz/Kick Technique Ø  Leaps & Turns / Lyrical/Contemporary Technique Ø  Skill Development (All levels offered) Ø  Character Building Ø  Dance Routines: Stylistic Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop Middle School Curriculum This program is designed to (and will focus on): Ø  Strengthen individual dance technique Ø  Strengthen individual skills Ø  Prepare for tryouts or competition solos. Spring Show update

1.DVD orders Due May 4th, checks made to SSBC $26
2.Guy/Girl Practices April 30th, May 1st 4:15
3. ADDITIONAL current team practice Thursday May 3rd 4:15-6:00
4. opener costume shirts will be ordered, the cost is $18.50 to be paid to SVHS by APRIL 25th
5. Spring Show tee shirts are ordered and will given to the girls the week the show- no fee
6. The girls need to round up all contest costume pieces, field uniform pieces and make sure the stars on their belts are secured! 
7. All costume pieces will be due MAY 8th, lost or damaged pieces will need to be paid for
8. RANKS are collecting items for their silent auction basket- please donate asap

Spring Show DVD orders!

If you would like to order a professional DVD and the entire spring show money is due FRIDAY MAY 4th. The cost is $26 and checks should be made to SILVER SPUR BOOSTER CLUB.
The entire show will be videoed with 3 cameras & will include an interactive DVD menu!

Guy/Girl Spring Show dance

We will have practice with the Spurs and their dance partner on Monday April 30th & Tuesday May 1st from 4:20-5:30
Dance partners need to be present at one or both of the practices.
Rehearsal Friday May 4th @ 5:00pm in the big gym

2012 - 2013 TEAM PAYMENT BREAKDOWN #1 (Revised!)

April  17th: $345 due to SVHS for Summer Camp

April 17th: payment to Downtown Dancewear (either check, cash or credit card) look for order form on blog...

May 2nd: $172 due to SVHS for hat, poms, large tote and cardigan (returning girls only owe $45 for cardigan) 

May 24th: $48 due to SVHSfor bloomers, white top and scarf (new girls)

July 25th:  payment to SVHS for t-shirts, last practice top, * small tote and technique class

Summer Break: order Boots online at happyfeetboots.com and purchase the “Star Flexor” boots

August: $90 to SVHS for sweats (new girls)

It is highly recommended that the Silver Spurs enroll in a summer dance class in order to continue to improve their skills.  There are three local dance studios:

          American Dance Company on HWY 46

          San Antonio Dance Conservatory on 1863 & 281

            Lone Star Dance on HWY 46 (closer to Boerne)
